Foreign Students in Cuba Support Puerto Rican Students.

CUBA, February 15th, 2011.-  Foreign university students in the eastern province of Camaguey condemned the National Police of Puerto Rico for the repression unleashed against Puerto Rican university students, who demand greater access to higher education.

The message was made public on the site of the Cuban Frienship Institute in the eastern province of Camaguey. The message had been delivered at the Permanent Mission of Puerto Rico in Cuba.

Peruvian student Mario Izquierdo Hernandez, from the Carlos J. Finlay University of Medical Sciences, condemned the abuse committed by the
police towards Puerto Rican students.

Izquierdo said that whereas university students are being bashed by the police, other Puerto Rican youth have found in Cuban universities a safe environment. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
