Chavez noted that thanks to the mission more than 6,700 doctor’s offices have been opened in Venezuela, which has contributed to expand health care services, particularly in small towns.
The Venezuelan president noted that Cuba has provided advice and assistance in the creation of 509 comprehensive diagnosis centers, 506 rehabilitation halls and other top-notch units, and in the remodeling of hospitals. Chavez said the number of doctors for every 100,000 inhabitants has increased from 22 to 80 over the last decade in Venezuela. (Cubaminrex - ACN-RHC)
