Senior South African Military Chiefs Pay Homage to Cuban Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

SOUTH AFRICA, September 5, 2011.- The General Solly Zacharia Shoke Chief of the South African National Defence Force, signed the Book of Condolences for the death of Army Corps General and Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the Republic of Cuba, Julio Casas Regueiro.

General Shoke was accompanied by Vice Admiral Johannes Mudimu, Chief of the South African Navy. Both militaries were received at the Diplomatic Mission by the Cuban Ambassador Angel Villa to whom they expressed condolences on behalf of their respective forces.

General Shoke and Vice Admiral Mudimu recalled the meetings they entertained with the deceased Army Corps General, and the particularly interest show by him to be updated on the development reached by the South African Army after the end of the apartheid regime. The two South African chiefs coincided to highlight the military knowledge of General Casas Regueiro as well as his personal contribution and sacrifice for the Revolution.
