US-Cuba Caravan Members Ship Computers Seized by USA.

CUBA, August 3, 2011.- Members of the Pastors for Peace U.S.-Cuba Friendship Caravan shipped to Cuba seven computers seized by U.S. immigration authorities, Juventud Rebelde newspaper reported Wednesday.

Authorities returned the computers to caravan members at the border as they returned to the United States from Cuba via Mexico, and caravan members immediately went back on foot to Mexico to ship them to Cuba, Pastors for Peace said in a press release quoted by Juventud Rebelde.

Immigration officials tried to question caravan members about their stay in Cuba, but the activists used their constitutional right to refuse to answer questions.

As they crossed the border from Tamaulipas, Mexico, the caravan members carried out banners with slogans such as "Free Cuba Yes, Blockade No" and "Love is our license to travel," alluding their refusal to request permission from the U.S. Treasury Department to travel to Cuba.

They also demanded the release of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly held in U.S. prisons, serving harsh sentences of 15 years to double life terms.

Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labañino, Rene Gonzalez and Fernando Gonzalez were detained in September 1998 while monitoring anti-Cuban terrorist groups based in southern Florida. (Cubaminrex-Prensa Latina)
