Vietnam Promotes More Solidarity with Cuba in 2011.

VIETNAM, January 24th, 201.- The Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association stated on Monday that solidarity activities will be increased in 2011, after beginning the year with a new humanitarian donation.

  Le Van Kiem, director of the Golf Thanh Long Commerce and Investment Company, donated 50,000 USD for Cuban orphans and the reconstruction of the Nguyen Van Troi Park in Havana.

Cuban Ambassador Fredesman Turro thanked Vietnam for the gesture, faithful to the long tradition of friendship between both peoples, which celebrated 50 years of relations in December.

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, member of the Secretariat of Vietnam's Communist Party Central Committee and president of the Association, also reaffirmed support for Cuba's international demands. (Cubaminrex-PL)
