Salvadorian Terrorist Goes to Trial in Cuba.

CUBA, 19th, December 2010.- The trial of Salvadorian Francisco Chavez Abarca on terrorism charges started this Monday at 9.30 AM at the Crimes against State Security Court in Havana city.

Chavez Abarca was apprehended on July 1, 2010 at the Caracas airport when he was trying to enter Venezuela using a fake passport to carry out violent actions.

He was sent to Cuba on July 7 by the Venezuelan government following an Interpol Circulation notice requested by Cuba.

Chavez Abarca was instructed on charges and investigated, since he was one of the main members of a Central American terrorist net organized by the Cuban American National Foundation and Luis Posada Carriles, which led a series of terrorist acts in Cuba, mainly against tourist facilities in Havana city and the beach resort of Varadero.
