Havana, Apr 15 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Fidel Castro said a possible political asylum to terrorist Luis Posada Carriles would generate more violence in the world.
The United States government could take a decision that will cause an irrational and limitless violence, said Fidel Castro before leaders of all the spheres of national life, and in the presence of survivors and relatives of victims of terrorist actions against Cuba since 1959.
"What is this country doing granting asylum when it has received thousands of dead and wounded sons from the war in Iraq or has lost hundreds of people in attempts such as the Twin Towers in New York in September 2001?," Fidel Castro asked.
The president said Cuba will not request Posada Carriles´ extradition and suggested that he should be handed over to Venezuela or to an impartial international court to judge the terrorists. Cuba will not demand the death penalty. The country will only present enough evidence to the case.
Fidel
Castro said Carriles deserves a life imprisonment sentence for all the crimes
he has committed. He argued that the notorious terrorist should not leave
this world without being tried because humanity pleas for justice.
