Caracas, Oct 4 (Prensa Latina) The 6th Cuba-Venezuela Joint Committee of Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement continued in this capital, aimed at fostering bilateral links.
In the meeting attendees are analyzing the course of accords signed in April this year, as well as prospects for improving relations under an atmosphere of collaboration that goes beyond trade.
According to the Agreement coordinator Ammar Jabour, the aim is to advance towards a new kind of relation that surpasses trade and whose priority is the human being.
Cuba´s Ministry for Foreign Investment and Economic Collaboration director for Latin America department, Roberto Rivas, said that, due to its scope, the meeting should become a milestone in bilateral cooperation.
Meanwhile, Venezuela´s Ambassador to Cuba Adam Chavez said the event has a great importance not only for both countries but also for the continent.
The three-day meeting, noted the Venezuelan diplomat, will show to the world how our peoples can reach an anti-neoliberal integration, based on the principles of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas.
More than 80 institutions and agencies, including those from finance, energy, health, education, sports, aviation, transportation, culture, construction and other industrial sectors are attending the bilateral meeting.
