Relatives of Barbados Victims Create Committee

Havana, Jun 2 (Prensa Latina) The Committee of Relatives of the Victims of Barbados, the place where in 1976 Luis Posada Carriles orchestrated the explosion of a Cuban civil airliner, came together at Havana´s Jose Marti memorial to intensify efforts against international terrorism, Granma daily reported Thursday.

The committee calls for US public opinion and relatives of the September 11 victims to join the condemnation of international terrorism and support for Cuba´s demand for justice in the case of terrorist Luis Posada Carriles, whose 70´s crime killed 73 people.

"No one can understand us better than the relatives of the victims of such a monstrous attack in the US. Life for them, like us, only has meaning fighting for justice," Carlos Alberto Cremata, president of the Committee, said Wednesday in the act.

The group adds to the Cuban people´s demand for the extradition of the notorious terrorist to Venezuela and the arrest of Orlando Bosh, also involved in the Cuban plane explosion and many other terrorist acts in the region, the daily noted.
