Caracas, Oct 11 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela and Cuba are making great strides in sports cooperation as part of the bilateral Integral Cooperation Agreement.
The Cuban delegation working in this country provides Venezuelan coaches and referees with technical advice, as well as collaborates in sports promotion here.
Osvaldo Narvaes, director of the Inter-government Relations Office at Venezuela's National Sports Institute (IND), highlighted in a news conference the island's experience in this field.
Pedro Garcia, head of the Cuban sports delegation, told Prensa Latina there are 2.6 million Venezuelans benefiting from this project, and he said next year, "we will train Venezuelan professionals, create the Sports University in the state of Cojedes, as well as increase promoters' work in communities."
Cuban sports collaborators are working in more than 3,000 Bolivarian schools, advising Physical Education professors and educational centers, expressed Garcia.
