Havana, May 30, 2006. (ACN) Cuba ratifies its support of Iran's peaceful nuclear program, said the head of Cuba's Communist Party´ Foreign Affairs Department Fernando Remírez during recent talks with Iran's Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki. During a meeting in Teheran, Fernando Remírez and Manuchehr Mottaki addressed bilateral relations between both countries and issues relevant to the Non-Aligned Movement. The Iranian Minister said that international cooperation can be further expanded on the basis of a common denominator for all Non-Aligned countries, which strive for the vindication of freedom and justice, Iran's News Agency reported. Mottaki said Teheran and Havana continue to strengthen bilateral relations based on mutual solidarity, since both nations love freedom. Meanwhile, the Cuban official said that Iran's perseverance in obtaining nuclear technology with peaceful aims may constitute an example to follow by developing countries that could be interested I exploiting such knowledge towards their own development and progress.
