Cuban Cooperation Pleases Preval
Havana, Apr 18, 2006. (Prensa Latina) Haitian President-elect Rene Preval said that he was satisfied with resuming collaboration with Cuba, especially in the health sphere.
Before departing Havana after his working visit, Preval told Prensa Latina that specific decisions were made, mainly related to medical services in his country.
The Haitian president said his conversations with Cuban President Fidel Castro were not diplomatic talks, but fraternal and intense, chiefly about South-South and Cuba-Haiti relations.
Preval asserted that the meeting with the Cuban statesman culminated in very specific points, which will be dealt with in depth during the joint commission between both nations, to be held the end of June or early July.
