CUBA, December 22, 2006.- Honduran Foreign Minister Milton Jimenez affirmed on Friday that his nation is fully immersed in Latin American integration, and considered this process very beneficial for the region. Before returning to Tegucigalpa, Jimenez said since Latin American countries have much in common, they have many things to share. During his visit, which he termed excellent, the official ratified his government s interest in accrediting its first ambassador to Cuba. Jimenez also assured Tegucigalpa s willingness to intensify good relations with the island as well as recover dialogue and bilateral cooperation. The minister expressed gratitude for the Cuban support of Honduras, especially the sending of heath staff after Hurricane Mitch hit that Central American country. In addition, he was pleased about the visit to Honduras in 2007 by his Cuban counterpart Felipe Perez Roque at his invitation. (Cubaminrex-PL)
