Cuban Government Minister visits Belize

Belize City, September 20 2006. Ricardo Cabrisas, Minister of Government of Cuba, began an official visit to Belize representing the Government of Cuba. Cabrisas was invited by the Government of Belize to attend the ceremonies on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of this sister Caribbean and Central American nation.

Minister Cabrisas and the delegation traveling with him were received at the Belize international airport by Hon. Eamon Courtenay, Minister of Foreign Affaire and Foreign Trade of Belize, First Deputy Minister Amalia Mai and Eugenio Martinez, Ambassador of Cuba to Belize.

After the reception, Minister Cabrisas held meetings with the Head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, the First Deputy Minister John Briceño, and other member of the Cabinet like Ralph Fonseca, Home Affairs Minister and the Prime Minister of Belize Said Musa. Also Ricardo Cabrisas attended events organized by the Governor General of Belize Hon Sir Colville Young and Hon Said Musa, Prime Minister of Belize for other foreign dignitaries and members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps accredited to Belize to celebrate this important anniversary.

The visit of Minister Ricardo Cabrisas will resume on September 21 after the official ceremony of Independence...
