Colombia Delegation in Cuba

CUBA, January 22, 2007.- A Colombian delegation led by Boyaca governor Jorge Eduardo Londono is expected to visit the National Peoples Power Assembly on Monday, as part of activities of an official visit to Cuba.

In the venue of the Parliament, the mission of the South American country is due to hold talks with Ramon Pez Ferro, president of the International Relations Permanent Commission, to analyze links among legislative bodies of the two nations.

Other activities include visiting some capital municipalities to learn details of Peoples Power grassroots functioning and city participation in government decisions as part of the Cuban democratic process.

The visitors, who arrived in Havana Friday, have already visited some provinces within the country and will meet with Deputy Foreign Minister Alejandro Gonzalez and visit the Latin American School of Medicine on Tuesday, the last day of their stay here.
