SURINAME, 8.08.2007.A group of Cuban eye doctors will start working together with local colleagues to help people with chronic eye illnesses. The Cuban government has decided to send doctors to Suriname instead. "We want to help as many people as possible during the long vacation," He explained that the 3,000 surgeries were performed as part of the Milagros Project these past two years and that there are still a few hundred people on the waiting list. The Milagros Project which is offered to Suriname by Cuba gives patients with chronic eye iIlnesses such as cataract, and glaucoma the chance to receive medical treatment in Cuba free of charge.( Cubaminrex- Embacuba Suriname).
