Cuba and Guatemala Boost Scientific Collaboration

CUBA, March 23, 2007.- Cuba and Guatemala recently singed a scientific collaboration agreement for the exchange of information and experience on agriculture, natural resources technology and biotechnology.

The agreement was signed by Cuba's deputy minister of science, technology and environment, Lina Dominguez Acosta, who is in Guatemala, and Rosa Maria Amaya, head of the Guatemalan national coordinating committee on science and technology, reported Prensa Latina news agency.

During the signing ceremony, Dominguez Acosta pointed out that the island has been supporting the training of Guatemalan doctors for several years. (Cubaminrex- Cuban News Agency )
