CUBA , March 5, 2007.- Cuban books on President Fidel Castro and Cuba's National hero José Martí had the highest demand from Cuban stands during the 28th edition of the Mexican Palacio de la Minería's International Literary Fair. Numerous fair attendants visited the Cuban grounds, many of them interested in Ernesto Che Guevara's Diary and in the works of Cuban National poet Nicolás Guillen, PL News Agency reported. Also appealing to the public, especially to the young visitors and students, were the books on the Cuban Five - men unjustly imprisoned in US jails since 1998 for having fought terrorism. Other works of literature and music albums were also available on Cuban stands during the fair that closed last Sunday. Representatives of the island included PRELASA, a company that promotes Cuba's Cultural production in México, and Citmatel, a Cuban information technology enterprise. The Mexican International Book Fair (FILPM) is held every year, to promote new values of the publishing industry. (Cubaminrex-ACN)
