Amigos de Cuba For almost five decades the Cuban people have been subjected to the most blatant aggression in the form of an economic blockade imposed by a bully on their doorsteps. This bully attempts to bring the Cuban people to their Knees and to destroy their chosen path of development by denying them access to purchase food, industrial material, transportation, health technology and even medicine. This unwarranted and unprovoked act of genocide does not bring glory to the perpetrator nor will they achieve their goal. The Cuban people have gained the respect and admiration of the entire world by their dignified and defiant stance in the face of this hostility. The world has condemned this embargo repeatedly at the UN general assembly and Amigos de Cuba in Grenada add our voices to the other billions worldwide that call on the United States of America to bring an end to this policy that is totally out of sync with the realities of the present era.
