Cuban teachers arrive at The Bahamas

The Bahamas, August 29. Forty Cuban teachers of different disciplines such as Mathematics, Special Education, Spanish, Sciences, Physical education and Technical - Professional arrived at The Bahamas and began their preparation of one week next to the Bahamian teachers to initiate school year 2009 - 2010 on September 1st as collaborators.

These members of the brigade of Educational Collaboration Felix Varela will serve in thirteen schools of the capital and educational centres of other nine islands of this great archipelago.

The educational relations, between the Bahamas and the Greatest of the Antilles, began in September of 2003, so five years of joint work to help to satisfy the educative necessities of the children and Bahamian young people have elapsed.

A total of 65 Cuban teachers have passed through the classrooms of Nassau and other ten islands in a lustrum that in opinion of the educative authorities of both countries have made a commendable work.

The Cuban professors feel like happy and committed to offering the best of themselves for the sake of the educational development of this country and at the same time they perfect the dominion of the English language that is of great importance for all the professionals at the present time.

The joint effort of the civil employees of education of Cuba and Bahamas, the authorities of the airport, immigration, Cubana de Aviación and Havanatur has been key to obtain this endeavor. ( Cubaminrex- Embacuba Bahamas).
