Press Conference and Film Show Held at Cuban Embassy to DPR Korea
DPRK, December 9, 2008. (KCNA) -- A press conference and film show took place at the Cuban embassy in DPR Korea on Tuesday, on the occasion of the World Day of Human Rights.
Present there were media persons in Pyongyang.
Cuban Ambassador to the DPRK Jose Manuel Galego Montano and staff members of his embassy were on hand.
The Cuban ambassador spoke at the press conference. He referred to the fact that Cuba has achieved successes under the uplifted banner of socialism since the victory of the revolution and the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations have developed.
He strongly demanded the closure of the prisons in the U.S. naval base in Guantanamo and the release of Cuban patriots now illegally detained in the U.S. Then, he answered the questions posed by reporters.
At the end of the press conference, the participants watched a Cuban documentary film.
