GUATEMALA, February 4, 2008.- Guatemalan Vice President Rafael Espada returned home pleased after his visit to Cuba, assuring that relations will be strengthened between the two countries. "The trip was extremely productive; we are very pleased," said Espada upon arriving at the La Aurora international airport in Guatemala City. While in Havana, Espada met with Cuban Vice President Carlos Lage and spoke with officials from various sectors, including public health, economic collaboration, pharmaceutical industry, electric energy, oil and tourism. "We saw many things, toured hospitals, spoke with the Guatemalan students at the Latin American School of Medicine and with business people working there," said Espada. Espada said he was very impressed by the public safety in the country, "There is lots of citizen responsibility and pride of being Cuban," he noted. (Cubaminrex-Granma)
