CUBA, May 14, 2007.- In a public political trial by young people in Havana on Monday, Cuba confirmed the danger posed to humankind by the US-granted release and impunity for international terrorist Luis Posada Carriles. In the trial of the notorious criminal and the White House, law students, experts and investigators presented irrefutable evidence of the scope of the terrorist's deeds. With films and documents, the youth anti-terrorist trial proved Posada Carriles criminal activity in Venezuela and Nicaragua and his persecution of regional social movements. As far as his anti-Cuban acts, it was shown that since 1991, he has been linked to more than 560 terrorist actions, including piracy, infiltration of mercenaries and sabotage. From a study of Posada Carriles' criminal record and personality, evidence of his aggressive, discriminatory, fascist and murderous nature, which may lead him to commit new actions, was presented at the public hearing. The support and complicity of US authorities are a seal of guarantee to Posada Carriles or any other terrorist acting in the US or abroad, several witness said. (Cubaminrex-PL)
