FRANCE, April 17, 2007.- French writer and researcher Salim Lamrani said on Tuesday that the attempt to release Luis Posada Carriles shows the unacceptable double standard of the US government in its alleged war against terrorism. In an interview with Prensa Latina, the also professor of the University of Denis-Diderot in Paris called Posada Carriles as one of the worst murderers of the American continent. "Posada is a cruel terrorist who has confessed his crimes and the administration of President George W. Bush has all the evidence to try him," stressed Lamrani. Lamrani is among the European, Latin American, and US intellectuals who signed a declaration against the treatment given to the notorious terrorist by Washington, and also demanded to try him for the crimes he committed. The French writer recalled that reading the autobiography The Roads of the Warrior, in which Posada admits his long career of terrorist attacks against innocent people, is enough evidence to prove his guilt.
