Miami Daily Publishes Evidence on Posada Carriles Terrorist Background CUBA , Mayo 29 de 2007.- At last a US daily commented on the evidence corroborating the participation of Luis Posada Carriles in the plotting of a sabotage against a Cubana jetliner in 1976, which killed all 73 people on board. The Miami Herald published an article, just last Sunday, which commented on declassified FBI and CIA documents revealing the participation of the notorious terrorist in the plane sabotage. Although the Miami Herald says that it is all about "new intrigues", the article constitutes an alert for the local population subjected to total silence on the case by the mainstream media, which has backed the impunity granted to Posada by Washington in exchange for keeping his mouth shut, says Cuba's Juventud Newspaper in its comment of the article on Tuesday. The Miami Herald article is the first beat following editorials by some main US newspapers revealing concern over the trial against Posada only for lying to US immigration authorities, which put Washington's "War on Terror" to question. The declassified documents analyzed by the Miami Herald not only reveal that Washington was fully aware of Posada Carriles' actions, but also expose another terrorist who has been enjoying unjustified freedom in the United States: Orlando Bosch, whose protection by the Carlos Andres Perez government is addressed in other reports, as well as Bosch's large terrorist background.
