CUBA, April 17, 2007.- The number of personalities, all over the world, demanding the US government to charge international terrorist Luis Posada Carriles went over half a thousand on Tuesday. Hardly 72 hours after the Network in Defense of Humanity called for a real trial for Luis Posada Carriles, new figures signed including US novelist Gore Vidal. Previously, recalled Granma daily, actor Danny Glover, historian Howard Zinn, writers Alice Walker and Russell Banks and the Pacifists Cindy Sheehan and Medea Benjamin, all from US, also signed the call. Tariq Ali, Pakistan writer and one of the most respected historians and political essayist of the current times has recently signed the document. The text was published last Sunday by 153 world personalities, and in the short time that has passed many other signatures have been added. The document demand US authorities to fulfill international obligations and charge Posada Carriles for all his crimes or extradite him to Venezuela.
