Lima, Nov 14 (Prensa Latina) Over two hundred Peruvian children sent a touching message to Ivette Gonzalez, daughter of Rene, one of the five Cuban youths imprisoned in the US for fighting terrorism, who is not allowed to visit his father.
"The world is with you," the children told little Ivette, who had previously sent a dramatic message to the world, demanding the end of the US President George W Bush administration´s injustice against her and her family.
The senders, living in the overpopulated and humble district of San Juan de Miraflores, Lima, participated in a collection of signatures to ask the US government to release the Cuban antiterrorism fighters imprisoned since September 12, 1998.
"We are Peruvian children. We want to greet you and wish you the best. We are sure you will soon see your father and will be happy. The world is with you," says the letter.
Names and surnames, identity cards and signings of 205 kids are included in the text handed over to the Peruvian Solidarity Committee with the Cuban Five, in an activity held at the National Telephone Union headquarters on Friday night.
The rally was backed by social, union and political organizations, as well as the Cuban-Peruvian Friendship House.
"The US administration does not allow my mother to take me to visit my father," Ivette said in a another letter.
It is time to end this barbaric illegality and return these brave fighters to Cuba, said one document spread at the rally..
The
letter will be sent to the White House, the UN and the International Committee
of Solidarity with the Cuban Five and Havana authorities.
