Cuban Five Relatives in Angola

ANGOLA , September 10, 2007.-  Relatives of the five Cuban anti-terrorists unfairly imprisoned in the US begin a visit to Angola , invited by associations from that African country.

The visit's organizing committee told Prensa Latina that Adriana Perez, wife of Gerardo Hernandez; Magali Llort, mother of Fernando Gonzalez; and Irma Gonzalez, daughter of Rene Gonzalez, will stay in Angola until Saturday, and attend the inauguration of the world campaign for the release of the Five on Wednesday.

That day coincides with nine years of the arrest of Gerardo, Fernando, Rene, Antonio Guerrero, and Ramon Labanino, sentenced in a biased trial in Miami .

The Angolan government decorated Gerardo Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, and Rene Gonzalez with an official order for having fought in that country's war for independence.

The program organized by the Angola-Cuba Friendship Association and the Angolan Committee for the Release of the Five for Adriana, Magali, and Irma includes meetings with several political, youth, trade union, farmer, religious, and women organizations. (Cubaminrex-PL
