Grupo de amistad con Cuba en Jamaica reitera su solidaridad con los Cinco Héroes.
JAMAICA, 22 de junio de 2010.- El pasado sábado 19 de junio, durante acto celebrado en Kingston para rendir tributo a Antonio Maceo y a Ernesto Che Guevara en ocasión de cumplirse otro aniversario de su natalicio, la Sra. Hope McNish, miembro del grupo de solidaridad YES/CUBA, hizo público un poema donde se solicita al Presidente Barack Obama la liberación inmediata de los cinco cubanos luchadores antiterroristas injustamente prisioneros en cárceles de EE.UU.
La Sra. Hope también anunció que YES/CUBA está distribuyendo, en varias librerías y otros centros comerciales, un marcador con la imagen y nombres de esos Cinco Héroes.
En ese emotivo acto hicieron uso de la palabra representantes de otros grupos de solidaridad, de la Asociación de Cubanos residentes, de los colaboradores cubanos y el Jefe de la Misión Estatal de Cuba, Embajador Yuri Gala López, quien también se refirió al caso de los Cinco Héroes.

“Free the Cuban Five” by Hope/Esperanza
What would possess these five men
In the prime of their lives
Two citizens of America, though Cuban
Three immigrants from Cuba
Secure in the love of family and wives
To risk their freedom way back then.
Independent of each other
Fearless like Che and Maceo
They took the noble stand for patria
So she would no longer suffer
Bombing of planes, hotels and stores
Invasions of mercenaries along her shores
A stand to stop assassination plots
By exposing traitors who fled
Their newly freed homeland
For the statue that promises liberty
Yet subverts the right of nations to be free
The five deemed this their patriotic duty
Without a promise of bounty
Cuba received the evil plan
Passed it to the anti-terror man
To our surprise and certain dismay
They punished the investigators
Not the evil perpetrators.
So here we are day after day
Unrelentingly
Demanding “Free the Cuban Five”
Gerardo, Fernando, Renee
Ramon and Antonio
Let them go
Without further delay
No sham trials!
No bribed journalists!
No amount of lies!
Will deter us from this goal
