Cuban Ambassador meets with Bahamian Minister of Tourism

BAHAMAS, July 30th, 2015.  The Bahamian Minister of Tourism, Honorable Obediah Wilchcombe received at the Ministry, H.E. Ernesto Soberón Guzmán Ambassador of Cuba to The Commonwealth of the Bahamas on July 30th, 2015.  
During the exchange, the Minister and the Cuban Ambassador reviewed the state of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Also, The Ambassador Soberón Guzmán delivered a Letter sent by the Cuban Minister of Tourism, H.E. Manuel Marrero Cruz.  (Cubaminrex/ Embacuba Bahamas).

Cuban delegation addresses 21st period of sessions of the Assembly of the International Seabed Authority

JAMAICA, July 24, 2015. The Cuban delegation addressed the 21st period of sessions of the International Seabed Authority, during the debate of the Annual Report presented by Secretary General Mr. Nii A. Odunton. This assembly was held in this capital, during July 13-24, and was attended by delegations from 78 countries and non-governmental organizations.  

World premiere in Toronto of a play about Heredia’s life

CANADA, July 24, 2015.-  The premiere of a play entitled "Niagara: a Pan American story" was held last night at the auditorium Daniel Spectrum of Toronto, one of 28 world premieres of the cultural festival Panamania that is taking place parallel to the celebration of the Pan American Games.

Travel agencies tourist promotion at the Embassy of Cuba in Japan

JAPAN, July 22, 2015.- As part of the tourist promotion campaign developed by the Embassy of Cuba in Japan, many travel agencies have promoted Cuba as a tourist destination for the Japanese, through seminars held at the embassy of the Greater Antilles in Tokyo. Fuji International, DTCA-ISM, Nikko Travel, JTB Grandtour, World Air Sea Service and Association of Business Models, are some of the tour operators attracted by the benefits of our country and which organized events that let the Japanese people know about Cuban geography, culture, traditions and even an economic update of Cuba.

Press release by Cuba and Norway on the release of Second Lieutenant Cristian Moscoso Rivera

Representatives of the Governments of Cuba and Norway, guarantor countries in the peace negotiations, have announced that at 10:05 today, Sunday 19 July, Second Lieutenant Cristian Moscoso Rivera, after having been released in Putumayo by the FARC-EP on Friday 17 July, was formally handed over by the two guarantor countries Cuba and Norway and delegates from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)to representatives of the Government of Colombia. 

Chambers of Commerce of Cuba and The Bahamas sign Agreement of Coooperation

CUBA, July 17th, 2015. Yesterday evening it was signed an agreement of Cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation, in the context of the Business Forum Cuba-Caribe that is taking place in Santiago de Cuba.
Following the signing of the agreement the Presidents of the Chambers of Commerce of Cuba and The Bahamas, reiterated their governments´ interest in continue developing and deepening the economic and commercial links between both countries.

Cuban Ambassador meets with Nepal’s President and Foreign Affairs Minister

INDIA, July 14th 2015. - Within the framework of his farewell visit to Nepal, the Ambassador of Cuba Abelardo Rafael Cueto Sosa met yesterday with the President of this country Honourable Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at the State House “Rashtrapai Bhavan”, Kathmandu.
During the meeting, the two officials commented on the recent developments in the relations between Cuba and the United States and Cuba’s achievements in the medical sector.

PAKISTAN, July 14, 2015.-  The top managers of the third most important Pharmaceutical Industry of the country welcomed the Cuban Ambassador in the Central Office and production.  In the city of Lahore.

Cuba denounced blockade policy during the 79 Executive Council of the OPCW

The Hague, July 10, 2015. The Permanent Representative of Cuba to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, delivered a speech on behalf of Cuba, during the General Debate of the 79 Executive Council of the OPCW, which took place in this Dutch city between 7 and 10 of July.
In the statement, Cuba reiterated its firm principles position in favor of the prohibition and elimination of all weapons of mass destruction and called for the establishment of a free zone of weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East.

Solidarity with Cuba at Unite Conference fringe meeting

UNIDTED KINGDOM, July 8th , 2015 .- Raymundo Navarro, International Secretary of the CTC (Central De Trabajadores de Cuba, Cuban Workers Central) spoke at the Cuba Solidarity Campaign fringe meeting at the Unite the Union Rules Conference in Brighton, UK, on Tuesday 7 July.
The meeting was chaired by Unite Assistant General Secretary Diana Holland, who is also Chair of the Cuba Solidarity Campaign. Assistant General Secretary Steve Turner also spoke on the platform, as did Francisco Dominguez, Natioanl Secretary of the Venezuela Solidarity Campaign.

Cuba and Kuwait signed Visa Exemption Agreement

KUWAIT, June 25,  2015. The Republic of Cuba and the State of Kuwait signed in this capital an agreement on mutual visa exemption for holders of official, diplomatic, service and special passports.
The agreement was signed by Under Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Foreign Ministry of Kuwait, ambassador Khaled Al Jarallah and the ambassador of Cuba in Kuwait Andres Gonzalez Garrido.
In this way the two nations ratify the will to continue expanding bilateral relations.
