Ambassador of Cuba holds his first meeting with executives of HOLA

IRAN, October 31, 2013. - The Ambassador of Cuba, Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada, received this morning at the Embassy  Hamid Shahrabi, executive of House of Latin America (HOLA) and his colleague, Ali Abutalebi,

During this first meeting, projects in the political and cultural spheres for the near future were discussed, taking into account the traditional coordination between HOLA and the Cuban diplomatic mission.

In this sense, the possible participation of a small Iranian delegation at the World Festival of Youth and Students, for the first time since the Islamic Revolution’s triumph, was discussed. The eighteenth edition of this event will take place in December, in Quito, Ecuador.

Possible contribution of Cuba to an international film festival to be organized at the end of this year by the Cultural Centre of the Research Front of the Islamic Revolution was also assessed.

On the other hand, the meeting focused on the actions to celebrate next January 2014 the 55th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution’s triumph, which details will be specified later during a second interview.

HOLA executives took advantage of this opportunity to congratulate Ambassador for the outstanding victory recently achieved by Cuba, for the twenty-second time, on the resolution condemning the U.S. blockade at the United Nations General Assembly.

The Cuban diplomat explained this is a mutual congratulation because HOLA actions also contributed to the achievement of this new and important victory. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Iran).
