
Cuban Deputy Minister concludes working visit to Liberia
Monrovia, September 18, 2019.- The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Rogelio Sierra Díaz, finished this Wednesday his working visit to Liberia that started last September 16.
During his stay, the Deputy Minister held meetings with the Speaker of the Senate, Hon. Albert Tugbe Chie, the Minister a.i. of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Henry B. Fahnbulleh, as well as with the Ministers for Sports, Health, Agriculture and Education. He also met the Movement of Solidarity to Cuba and the Liberian graduates that studied in Cuba.
The meetings allowed ratifying the interest of both governments to deepen diplomatic relations, as well as the cooperation and solidarity ties. The officials that met also remembered the 55 Cuban doctors that joined the fight against the 2014 Ebola epidemic that took place in Liberia, which was an example of Cuba’s selfless solidarity to this sister nation.
