Cuban and Angolan representatives addressed on Monday the historic ties of sisterhood and cooperation on the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both States. The summary of which was in charge of Ambassador Esther Armenteros, who distinguished the common roots since colonial times and the early formalization of diplomatic ties, just four days after the proclamation of the independence of Angola, on November 15, 1975.

The opening of a photo exhibition in this city paid tribute on Monday to the 60th aniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Bulgaria. Bulgarian Ambassador Maria Donska highlighted the bond of sisterhood between both nations, which is the essence of the exhibition entitled 'Visual Assonances', which reflects the similarities and closeness between Bulgarian and Cuban cultures, symbols, monuments and traditions.

Pedroso Cuesta at the International Conference against the blockade and for the Normalization of the Relations between Cuba and the United States : It is more necessary than ever that the international community calls for the lifting of the blockade imposed by the government of the United States against Cuba.

Cuba participated today in the discussion of Agenda Item 890 of the Sixth Committee, on the protection of persons in the event of disasters; where it stated its view on this issue, based on the island´s accumulated experience in this regard.
