Angolan ambassador to Cuba pays tribute to Fidel Castro

Angolan Ambassador in Cuba, Maria Teixeira Pereira paid tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, in front of the monolith that keeps his remains at Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, on Sunday. The diplomat arrived here after visiting eastern Guantanamo province, where the delivered a donation to the Dr. Agostinho Neto General Hospital. In the book of visitors at the cemetery, Teixeira Pereira expressed her affection for the Cuban people, and highlighted the ties of friendship and collaboration with senior citizens.

Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini, presided over an official ceremony in the country's capital as part of the celebrations of the 15th anniversary of the Cuban Medical Brigade in the Kingdom. The ministers of Health, Foreign Relations, and Labor and Natural Resources, and members of the National Parliament also attended the ceremony.

A new group of Cuban teachers arrives in Jamaica

This morning, a group of twenty Cuban teachers (eight women and 12 men) arrived in Kingston on a charter flight from Havana, as part of the annual renewal of the staff of the Cuban Education Brigade in Jamaica. They were welcomed at the airport by Ambassador Inés Fors Fernández, Head of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica; Dr. Reynel Isalgue, Head of the Cuban Education Brigade in Jamaica; and officials from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information of Jamaica.
