During the cordial meeting, they exchanged on the current state of bilateral relations and their development possibilities in sectors such as health, biotechnology, mining and energy as well as the existing potential to promote triangular cooperation projects for the benefit of the Pacific Small Island Developing States.

The Ministries of Education of Jamaica and the Republic of Cuba signed today in this capital a new Agreement for Cooperation in Education for Professional and Academic Support. The agreement was signed by the Minister of Education, Youth and Information of Jamaica, Fayval Williams, and Ambassador Inés Fors Fernández, representing the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Cuba.

Cuba celebrates the 58th anniversary of Africa Day

Pretoria, May 25, 2021.- Cuba's fraternal ties with Africa are part of our history, grounded in deep cultural and historical roots. There are many reasons to join in the commemoration of Africa Day this May 25.

The presence on our Island of almost 1,300,000 Africans of more than 200 ethnic groups, as a result of the cruel slave trade, forever marked the history, customs, tastes, beliefs and traditions of our nation.
