Cuban Youth to Climb Mountain in Homage to the Cuban Five
CUBA, September 9, 2010.- Cuban youth will climb the highest mountains of the country in honor of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters who have been unjustly imprisoned in the United States for 12 years.
Misleydis Ramírez, the leader of the Communist Youth Union of Cuba, said that the climbing of the highest peak on the island is part of the struggle to immediately free René González, Ramón Labañino, Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando González. In the city of Havana, where there are no mountains, the equivalent actions will consist of 16 to 18 kilometer walks around the Anti-Imperialist José Martí track. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
