Forum for the Release of the Cuban Five Held in Panama

CUBA, May 31, 2010. The Faculty of Law of the University of Panama carried out an academic forum on the five Cuban antiterrorists unfairly incarcerated in the United States, the Granma newspaper reports on Monday.

In his statements to the Prensa Latina news agency, Antonio Guerrero Cabrera, the son of Antonio –one of the Five Heroes-, expressed that this kind of meeting strengthens the international campaign to put an end to illegalities linked to this process.

He said that the voices heard during the meeting are the same voices getting to US territory.

Likewise, he announced that he received a message from his father, where he makes reference to the meeting, which evidences that The Five follow each of the activities on their case carried out in other countries.

For his part, the governor of the province of Cocle, Julio Pinzon, focused on the importance of debates around a case that has gone beyond US and Cuban borders. (Cubaminrex- ACN)
