Highlights Nigerian newspaper antiterrorist acts by the Cuban Five
NIGERIA, April 14, 2010.- In an article published in Daily Trust newspaper on the name ‘’Abdulmutallab and the Cuban Five”, it was analyzed the injustice imprisonment in US for more than 10 years of the popularly known as the Cuban Five.
It is reflected that after decades of acts of hostility, sabotage, terrorism and even chemical warfare from anti-Castro/Cuban groups based mainly in Miami, Florida, a group of Cuban patriots volunteered to travel to the US to gather accurate information and neutralize these terrorist groups. Five of these men - , Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labanino, Fernando Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez - were caught in 1998 by the FBI, put in detention and sentenced with unprecedented long terms of imprisonment in the judicial history of US.
