Cuban Five Wish Chavez Satisfactory Recovery.
CUBA, June 18, 2011.- The five Cuban antiterrorist fighters imprisoned in the United States since 1998 sent a message to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez wishing him a speedy recovery from a recent surgery in Havana.
“We wish you a fast recovery so that you can fully resume your duties, to which you dedicate yourself with so much passion, effort and devotion,” reads a letter to Chavez signed by the Cuban Five.
The letter was read out in Havana by the coordinator of the International Committee for the Release of the Cuban Five during a meeting for the official creation of the International Coordinating Committee in Solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela and the ALBA process.
President Chavez’s health condition is improving after undergoing an operation for a pelvic abscess in Havana. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
