Freedom of the Cuban Five Demanded in the Dominican Republic.
CUBA, October 12, 2010.- Dozens of Dominicans and Cubans scaled the Resolí peak in Santo Domingo in demand of the freedom of the Cuban Five.
Representatives of the Solidarity Campaign with Cuba, the Cimarrona Sebastián Lemba Brigade, and the Committee for the Freedom of the Cuban Five reiterated their renouncement of the unjust prison sentences that the five anti-terrorist fighters were convicted of.
In related news, a corner of Cuba Plaza, in the Miraflores de Tegucigalpa neighborhood of the Honduran capital, was dedicated to the Cuban Five.
The site has plaques with photos and the names of Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, René González and Fernando González.
