Argentine Alternative Media Call to Free the Five.
ARGENTINA, August 25th, 2010.- The National Network of Alternative Media (RNMA) of Argentina reiterated today its call for the immediate release of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters imprisoned since 1998 in the United States.
We appeal to President Barack Obama to immediately withdraw the false charges against the five and end this injustice, declared the network.
The document states that in his capacity as President of the United States, Obama has the power to do so and end the unjust punishment.
The note of the National Network of Argentina Alternative Media also demands the detention and extradition to Venezuela of the international terrorist Luis Posada Carriles.
It calls for the delivery of visas to relatives of the Cuban Five, especially to Adriana Pérez and Olga Salanueva, who have not been able to visit their husbands since they were detained.
RNMA´s statement condemns the constant media attacks against Cuba and strongly rejects "the genocide and brutal economic, financial and trade blockade imposed by the United States." (Cubaminrex - PL)
