Local Saint Lucian Newspaper Publishes Statement on New Sanction Imposed on René.

SAINT LUCIA, October 5th, 2011.-  The local “Crusader” weekly Newspaper published the communiqué in full, spread by the International Committee in favor of the release of the Five Heroes, because of the new sanction imposed on René on September 16th, when Judge Joan A. Lenard; from Florida’s Southern District, denied the Motion in which René requested that he be allowed to return to Cuba and join his wife, daughters and parents; unjustly obliging him to remain in the United States for three years of supervised “freedom”.

The communiqué which joins the denouncing made in the Editorial of the Granma Newspaper on September 28th, highlights the grave recognition of the existence of Terrorist Groups who enjoy impunity in Miami, implicit in Judge Lenard’s sentence, stating that René is prohibited, after his release from jail “to be associated with or visit specific places where it is known that terrorists or terrorist organizations frequent or are located…”, at the same time that it denounces the serious risk that this means for Rene´s life.
