Cuban teachers in The Bahamas demand the release of the Cuban Five to President Barack Obama.
BAHAMAS, May 20, 2011.- The Cuban Teachers who are working in the Bahamian public schools according to the Educational Collaboration Agreement signed by the Ministry of Education of the Bahamas and the Latin American and Caribbean Pedagogical Institute of Cuba, demanded to the US President Barack Obama the immediate release of the Cuban Five.
The Cuban teacher Ruslan Cadalzo in his message to President of United States said that Mr. Obama should keep in mind that the Cuban Five have been unjustly punished in a political trial for defending The Cuban people against the terrorist organizations that are established in US.
On the other hand, the Cuban teacher Luis Cristobal Landa Peláez in his letter to President Obama, expressed: (…) “Mister President, it is in your hands the possibility for releasing of Cuban Five. If you release the Cuban Five and stop this injustice, the Cuban people and millions of persons around the world would be grateful of the greatness of this gesture.”
The Cuban teachers in Bahamas said that they won’t stop sending messages to the Government of United States until it releases the Cuban Five. 31 Cuban professors are teaching 14 specialties in 25 Government schools of all levels of education (Primary, Senior and High schools).
