The Artistic Work of Cuban Antiterrorist on Display in Seattle
HAVANA, January 13, 2012.- The Artistic Work of Cuban Antiterrorist Atonio Guerrero on Display in Seattle An exhibit of the artistic works by Antonio Guerrero,one of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters held in the United States, has been organized by the Seattle American Federation of Teachers.
The exhibit is an important initiative aimed at breaking the silence by the US media about the case and the struggle for the freedom of the five Cubans over the past 13 years, the federation says in the announcement of the exhibit, PL news agency reported.
The sample on display at the Rosetta Hunter gallery, in the main campus of the Seattle Community College, will be opened to the public until February 10, according to the webpage of the organization.
Known as the Cuban Five, René González, Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino and Fernando González, were given extremely long prison sentences by a Miami-based court in 2001 after they monitored Florida-based ultra-right organizations that have carried out terrorist actions against Cuba over the past 50 years.
