Have the U.S. legalised terrorism ?

The freeing on bond of Louis Posada Carriles by the U.S. Judiciary system has prompted the progressive thoughts of our Era whether the United States legal system has now publicly legalized terrorism or only making a mockery of the laws of the United States of America. I hope not for the latter because one day the American people will be the judges themselves.

It is unbelievable but true that Louis Posada Carriles a well known murderer and one of the most terrifying terrorist of the Century is now walking freely on the soil of a country which claim to be the biggest bastion of freedom and democracy, while Five Cuban Patriots are suffering in the prisons of the United because they were involved in monitoring the actions of the Miami based terrorist groups in order to prevent terrorist attacks on their country of Cuba. Furthermore René and Gerardo are denied the rights of their families to visit them for the past nine years while the three others have met with major obstacles for receiving their families.

What a shameful, cowardly and inhumane act by the U.S. to defy all international laws of which they are signatory to.

The US administrations, and in particular President Bush, should realise that U.S. territory has been transformed into a paradise for breeding terrorism and violence. This is what explains the reason behind the unfortunate mass murder that took place at Virginia University, and not because the students “were in the wrong place at the wrong time”, as stated by Mr. Bush.

The Cuban five were in the right place and the right time. They were heroically protecting the lives of human being and their own peoples and homeland from terrorist attacks, as those perpetrated by the godfather of crimes Posada Carriles, the assassin that you have now given sanctuary.

Louis Posada Carriles a monster who is bathed with the blood of the 73 victims of the Cubana Airlines which was bombed off Barbados in 1976, the blood of latin American heroes who valiantly fought the CIA war of aggression for decades especially in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Colombia, Cuba and many others. How can Carriles be charged only for entering the US illegally and why is he not extradited to Venezuela where he is fugitive for escaping from prison and charged for many other criminal activities.

We therefore urge the United States government to let justice prevail and prosecute Posada Carrilles as a terrorist or extradite him to Venezuela. At the same time we demand the immediately and unconditional realise of the Cuban Five Heroes, who are unjustly in your prisons.

Let forge ways of being each others keeper because we do not live on separate planets, we live in a global village now.
