Venezuelans Get PhD Degrees in Cuba

CUBA, November 9, 2009. More than one third part of the Venezuelan students registered for the PhD Program in Pedagogical Sciences between Cuba and the South American Country showed on Monday the certificates for finished studies in the University of Oriente (UO).

As part of the agreement of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our Americas (ALBA) 14 of the 37 students represent the first group beginning this project 4 years ago.

Collaboration between both countries is promoted by the UO Center of High Education Studies Manuel F. Grant and the Caracas and Cumana National Experimental University of Armed Forces.

According to the Cuban News Agency (ACN) the coordinator of the program Dr Eneida Matos highlighted scientific, academic and human exchanges that enrich both parts.

Among the issues tackled in the diploma papers are the education of tutors, the professional orientation and the process teaching- learning in adults education. (Cubaminrex- PL)
