8th December, 2009 The Executive and members of our Association; the Saint Lucia - Cuba Humanistic Solidarity Association; including the Committee in Defense of the Cuban Five wish to express congratulations to the Government and people of Cuba and our CARICOM brothers and sisters on the 37th Anniversary of Cuba - CARICOM Day. We look forward to continued cooperation and mutually beneficial relations between our countries. Our Association will continue to work for the removal of the unjustified and illegal Blockade, imposed on the Government and people of Cuba over the past 50 years by the United States Administration and for the immediate release of our five Cuban brothers; imprisoned in the United States. Over this period of time, Cuba has assisted our CARICOM countries in the areas of Educational Scholarships, Medicine, Agriculture, Sports and Culture among others; for which we are eternally grateful. Members of our Association will endeavor to do all within our means to continue to support and assist our Cuban brothers and sisters.
