Benin Sports Minister in Cuba

CUBA, January 28, 2009. Beninese minister of youth, sports, and recreation, Etienn Kossi, will tour Cuba's anti-doping control lab and School for the Training of High Performance Athletes Wednesday, as part of his visit to the island.

According to the agenda, the visitor plans to meet with CUBADEPORTES General Director Oscar Acosta, and sign a cooperation agreement with the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER).

Kossi, arrived in Havana yesterday, and was welcomed at the Jose Marti International Airport by INDER Vice President Roberto Leon.

Cuba-Benin sports cooperation started in 1985 with the development of the Inter-governmental Joint Commission, which has enabled sending Cuban experts in boxing, basketball, and athletics to the African country. (Cubaminrex- PL)
