PARAGUAY, January 26, 2009.— Paraguayan President Fernando Lugo welcomed Cuban singer/songwriter Vicente Feliu, a founder of the New Trova movement, who is in Asuncion to offer a concert with Paraguayan Ricardo Flecha in tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. Feliu explained to President Lugo his purpose for being in the Paraguayan capital and invited him to attend the concert to take place on Wednesday January 28, the birth date of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti. Accompanying Feliu in his encounter with Lugo was Adolfo Curbelo, the Cuban ambassador to Paraguay, and his representative Techi Cusmanich.(Cubaminrex- Granma) |
