Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines comments about the revocation of the Resolution of OAS which suspended Cuba SAINT VINCENT and the GRENADINES, June the 8th, 2009. The Searchlight Newspaper, under the title “OAS lifts 47 year old suspension on Cuba” publish the declarations of the Primer Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, concerning the recent decision of that Organization Doctor Gonsalves declared to the Newspaper that the OAS has had to wait 47 years to amend a historical mistake committed in 1962, when Cuba was expulsed of that Organization. The Vincentian Primer Minister also mentioned the fact that, this decision against Cuba was the product of the Cold War and has no reason to be taken. He also emphasized that the revocation of the Resolution which expulsed Cuba, does not means that Cuba will immediately enter OAS, and pointed out that this needs a process of dialogue and political discussions.
